Palisades Reservoir

Palisades Reservoir is a large reservoir located in southeastern Idaho, United States. It is located in the Snake River Canyon, on the South Fork of the Snake River, and covers an area of approximately 25,000 acres. It was created in 1957 by the construction of the Palisades Dam, which is a 269 foot high dam that was built by the Bureau of Reclamation. The reservoir provides irrigation water, flood control, and hydroelectric power to the region, as well as recreational opportunities such as fishing, boating, and camping.
